Workshop on HAZOP Awareness was conducted on 12 November 2008 at SMHB Training Room. The speaker for the workshop was Ir. Mohd Adnan Md Dom, from IWK. The purpose of the workshop was to provide basic understanding and techniques of Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) for the HAZOP’s team members to apply during the HAZOP Study for Langat 2 Project. The workshop was attended by the following representatives:

• Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB)
• Consultants – SMHB, Ranhill and KTA Tenaga
• State Water Authorities – Perbadanan Bekalan Air PP, Syarikat Air Melaka Bhd. And Air Kelantan Sdn. Bhd.
• Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN)

Generally, workshop delivery was good and the participants have gained basic understanding and knowledge pertaining to the HAZOP.
