Technical visit to KIPC Water Treatment Plant was organized by SMHB on 29 July 2009 and PAAB representatives were invited for the visit. The purpose of the visit is to learn about the performance and operational aspects of the plant and also to find out if there any lessons for use to improve the design of plant in future. The following are representatives from PAAB and SMHB who have visited the plant:

The programme of the visit started with safety briefing by the plant safety officer, briefing by plant operator and PAAB, discussion on the issues and feedback from the plant operators held at Administration Building and followed by visit to the intake, off-river storage, treatment plant and residual plant.
