Workshop on Treatment Process Selection was held on 17 and 18 June 2008 at Kelab Darul Ehsan, Ampang. Facilitators for the workshop were Dr. Zaid Chowdhury, Jim Dewolfe and Andrea Triviglia from Malcolm Pirnie, USA, a consultant engaged by SMHB to assist and advise on the treatment process selection. The purpose of the workshop was to outline project understanding to establish selection criteria for the best treatment process for Langat 2 project. The workshop has also covered discussion on raw water quality and treated water quality goals and case studies in USA presentation by the consultant. Number of participants on the workshop was 26 comprised Langat 2 team members from PAAB and also Consortium of SMHB, Ranhill and KTA Tenaga. Generally, workshop delivery was good and the participants have gained knowledge and understanding of selection criteria for the best treatment process.
